Dinner With Lance Armstrong…
So I’m just chillin at Nobu’s sushi joint in Aspen last night when Lance Armstrong walks in with two friends.
John runs Six Lounge in Austin which is one of my favorite bars with an incredible view, and Dave manages Campo which is by-far the best food I’ve had while in Aspen.
For those of you who don’t know, I raced mountain bikes professionally years ago, and competed with Lance a few times in the Texas series during the summers.
I didn’t want to bug them, so I asked the waiter if I could pick up their tab without really expecting anything in return. (…that whole ‘give without want’ philosophy I keep).
5 minutes later Lance invites me to join them at their table. The world works in mysterious ways because one of our 2008 goals was to have a fund raiser for the Live Strong Foundation.
That might actually happen now…
